The pianist Anna Karapetyan comes from Armenia, where she received her first piano lessons at the age of five. After attending the professional music school "P.I. Tchaikovsky", she first studied at the State Conservatory "Komitas" with Professor Shugarov before her path led her to Germany. In 2006 she began her studies at the Detmold Conservatory with Professors Anatol Ugorski and Alfredo Perl. During this time, Anna Karapetyan was, among other things, a scholarship holder of the Alumni Association and was awarded a DAAD sponsorship prize; after her intermediate diploma, she moved to the Musikhochschule Köln to study with Prof. Nina Tichmann and completed her diploma there in July 2012. This was followed in October by admission to the Master's programme "Soloist" in the same class, and a year later by a parallel place at the "Accademia di Pinerolo" with Enrico Pace.
