JENNIFER SEUBEL

Jennifer Seubel studied at the Trossingen University of Music under Prof. Arife Gülsen Tatu, where she passed her final exam with distinction and took a degree in music teacher in July 2009. She continued her artistic training with Prof. Robert Winn at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and completed also her studies of artistic instrumental training with distinction in July 2010. There she has followed the master’s course of study since October 2010.

She continued improving her musical abilities in master classes with Prof. Eckard Haupt, Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht, Michael Cox, Robert Aikten, Gitte Marcusson and Thaddeus Watson. At a very early stage of life she started with orchestral work. At the age of ten she made ​​her solo concert debut with the Youth Orchestra “Kreisjugendorchester Südliche Weinstraße”. From 2000 till 2006 she was a flautist in the National Symphony Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate, with which she toured to California, China, Czech Republic and Poland. She extended her orchestral experience with the “German-Scandinavian Youth Philharmonic”, the “Russian Chamber Philharmonic St. Petersburg” and the “International Young Orchestra Academy” at the “Festival of Young Artists Bayreuth”. From 2010 till 2012 she took part in projects of the “New Philharmonic Westfalen” in Recklinghausen and Gelsenkirchen. Since then she has received invitations from the “Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra”, the “Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra” and the “Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra” and has played with soloists such as Daniel Hope and Paul Meyer, and in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona and the Vienna Music Orchestra.

Also as a soloist Jennifer Seubel delivered a brilliant performance with the Symphony Orchestra “Oberbergisches Symphonie-Orchester”, with which she will be heard again in June 2013. Among her awards and honours are several awards at regional state and federal level at the Music Competition “Jugend musiziert”, the second prize at the “Pfälzer Hausmusiktage” in 2002, the first soloist prize and special prize for contemporary music at the International Music Competition “Città di Barletta” in Italy in 2006, the “Iris Marquardt Award” at the Trossingen University of Music in the chamber music category in 2007, the first prize within the framework of the “Euroasia Music Festival” in 2009, the second prize at the ” Open National Fluitconcours Ittervoort” in the Netherlands in 2011 and the second prize at the “Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition”, New York, in 2011.

In 2002 Jennifer Seubel received a scholarship to attend the workshop of the “Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp” in Michigan. Since 2003 she has been scholarship holder of the “Paul and Yvonne Gillet Foundation” for young musicians. In April 2010 she was admitted to the foundation “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Köln e.V.” and since July 2012 she has been one of the scholarship holders of the “Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation”.

Since October 2012 she has been lecturer at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
